The type of trees in the Saudi Green Initiative

The Green Initiative decided that the trees that will be planted in Saudi Arabia should be characterized by being from the local environment suitable for temperature

Ziziphus spina christi

It is a desert tree and its cultivation is widespread in tropical and subtropical regions

Acacia gerrardii

The  tree is considered one of the wild trees and a symbol of the desert because it can withstand the harshest weather conditions. It tolerates the heat, thirst, and drought that characterize the desert of the Arabian Peninsula.

Prosopis cineraria

The tree an important role in benefiting from wildlife in arid areas, and thus a large number of wild birds find refuge in the Ghaf farm, in addition to the dependence of a number of wild species on the Ghaf as a sustainable source of food

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia chose the finest types of plants that are suitable for heat, and this is very good. Not all plants tolerate heat. It may be a waste of money when roses are grown in a rose that is not its environment.
